Turkey close of trade below populations; BIST 100 to 1.06%

Investing.com - Turkey shares were lower after Friday's close, as losses in the sectors of wholesale and retail transport, electricity and carried lower shares.
At the close of Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.06%.
The most effective measures of the session BIST 100 were Galatasaray Sportif (IS: GSRAY), which rose 6.15% or 1.34 points to trade at 23.14 at the close. Meanwhile, Migros Ticaret (IS: MGROS) added 3.35% or 0.57 points to finish at 17.56 and Tofas Oto. Fab. (ES: Tóásó) increased 2.67% or 0.62 points to 23.82 in afternoon trade.
The worst results of the session were Tesco Kipa (IS: KIPA), which fell 19.66% or 0.460 points to trade at 1,880 at closing. Odes Elektrik (IS: ODAS) fell 0.400 points or 4.54% to close at 8,410 and Kartonsan (IS: KARTN) fell 4.16% or 11.30 points to 260.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered rose on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 282 to 69 and 57 ended unchanged.
Shares of Tesco Kipa (IS: KIPA) fell to 52-week lows; fell 19.66% or 0.460 to 1.880.
The gold for August delivery rose 0.07% or 0.95 to $ 1,273.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, crude oil for delivery in July fell 2.27% or 1.15 to hit $ 49.41 per barrel, while Brent oil contract for August fell 2.27% or 1 18 to trade at $ 50.77 a barrel.
USD / TRY rose 0.94% to 2.9190, while EUR / TRY rose 0.63% to 3.2943.
The US Dollar Index rose 0.30% to 94.38.
